Chain of Checks Application

We are required to certify the eligibility of all nonprofits receiving funding from CFNSV.  If you have not completed the annual certification process, you must do so to be eligible to receive funding.  Click here to complete this process.  We will notify you if we receive an application for an organization that is not currently certified.  Your application will not be reviewed until your certification is complete.

Chain of Checks is a unique opportunity for community organizations to receive funds through the Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley. This is not your ordinary grant program, but an opportunity to be part of a year-long, community fundraising effort with WINC 92.5 FM,  that culminates in a two-day radiothon in December.  Learn more about this grant program.

The deadline for submitting a Chain of Checks application is midnight on Friday, April 21, 2017.  All applicants will be notified of the Chain of Checks committee decision by May 31, 2017.

Because this application form does not offer the ability to save your submission and return to it later, you may want to use the Chain of Checks Application Template to craft your answers and ensure you have all relevant documents together prior to beginning the online application. You can download the template, which will allow you to edit and save your responses. You can then simply copy and paste your responses onto the online entry form. (Hint: You can use you right mouse button to access these functions. ) You may also utilize the CFNSV Project Budget Template to prepare your project budget, if you do not already have one available.

If you have any questions about this application, please contact Debbie Connolly at (540) 869-6776 or director@cfnsv.org.
